After 40 minutes the Bruins lead 2-1 over the Hawks.

For Boston: Milan Lucic scored his second of the game just 51 seconds into the second period. The goal came after a great stop by Rask on a shot by Marian Hossa.

The Bruins had a sloppy second committing three penalties including a too many men on the ice which resulted in a 5 on 3 oppurtunity. However the penalty kill did a fantastic job shutting down the Hawks, blocking shots and limiting them to two shots total.

For Chicago: Rookie Brandon Saad got his first of the post season at 3:08 in the period after being reunited with Toews and Hossa. The trio spent most of the season together.

With Saad moving up, Patrick Sharp moved down with Bolland and Shaw, leaving Kane with Handzus and Bickell.

While the penalty kill was great for the Bruins, the power play was equally awful for the Hawks. You really have to ask yourself who did a better job of killing the penalty: Chicago or Boston?

I think most people would agree saying it was Chicago. Has anyone seen Bryan Bickell?

The Numbers: Rask has stopped 23 of 24 shots. Crawford has stopped 15 of 17. Chicago had 16 shots compared to Boston's 6 in the period. Brandon Bollig played 1:51 seconds in the second with the majority of that coming in the first few minutes.
