For only the fourth time in NHL history the first two games of the Stanley Cup Finals went into overtime. Before the 2012 Cup Finals it had been 61 years since it happened, and now it has happened in back to back years.

Daniel Paille scored the overtime winner at 13:48 after Boston had numerous chances to end the game, most notably a shot Jagr hit off the cross bar.Tuukka Rask had a fantastic game stopping 33 of 34 shots, while Corey Crawford did all he could to keep the Hawks in it.

Chicago's failure on the powerplay came back to haunt them, only mustering up a handful of shots on their three opportunities.

Now the series will shift to Boston, with the Hawks needing to win one on the road if they want to hoist the cup. Game 3 is Monday in Boston and will be on NBCSN again.
