Two key players were questionable for Game 6 after Game 5, for two very different reasons.
Patrice Bergeron took only two shifts in the second period and left the stadium during the third. It was finally reported that Bergeron was brought to a local hospital for observation due to an issue with his spleen.
Sunday it was reported that he has been released from the hospital and will fly back to Boston with his teammates.
Johnny Boychuk absolutely trucked Hawks captain Jonathan Toews with about eight minutes to go in the second. Toews skated to the bench but was back on the ice for his next shift and finished the period.
However Toews didn't play in the third and after the game the NHL reported they were looking into the hit. On Sunday they announced there would be no discipline taken against Boychuk.
So while things looked very bleak last night for Boston, things must seem a little brighter today as they will absolutely have Boychuk in the lineup Monday and could have Bergeron as well.
