I'm all for letting Jim Cornelison sing the 7th inning stretch at Wrigley but while you have him in the building, why aren't you having him sing the anthem?
Coach Joel Quenneville was there, with the Cup, to throw out the first pitch but then you have someone besides Cornelison sings the anthem. For those who don't know Cornelison signs the anthem before each and every Blackhawks home game accompanied by the fans cheering & clapping.
Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Seems like a mistake by the Cubs but who knows maybe it was Cornelison's choice. Either way he did a terrific job filling in for the late great Harry Carey.
