Last offseason it was the Atlanta Trashers. This year it looks like it's the Florida Panthers.

With Monday's trade of Tomas Kopecky to Florida for a conditional 7th round pick in the 2012 or 2013 draft it marks the third deal the clubs have made within the last 4 months. It started with the Michael Frolik trade that sent Jack Skille to the Panthers and then the second trade was Friday when general manager did the unthinkable and found someone willing to take the contract of Brian Campbell.

Tomas who is set to become an unrestricted free agent was most likely not going to be brought back by the Hawks which makes it add that Dale Tallon would give up anything for him when he could contact him in a free days when free agency starts.

The trade may be viewed as another salary dump by some of the band wagon fans who have seen numerous members of the Stanley Cup team be traded or not resigned over the last year but that isn't true. Kopckey is probably best suited as a third or 4th line winger and coming off a career year was probably going to demand a raise that the Hawks cant afford to pay for that type of player.

So we can now add Tomas, Soupy and Brouwer to the list of the departed Hawks that already include

Antti Niemi

Colin Fraser

Ben Eager

Brent Sopel

Nick Boyton

Adam Burish

Dustin Byfuglien

John Madden

Andrew Ladd

Kris Versteeg

I think that's everyone but if I missed one or two I'm sure you will let me know
