Before I get to the crazy playoff picture that is the Western Conference I need to say one thing.

Corey Crawford is amazing. His play has been, in my mind, very underrated by most Hawks fans. Now I understand many Hawks fans are the ones who jumped on the bandwagon last season and still have no idea why Niemi isn't still in goal and are upset Big Buff is playing in Atlanta. Just imagine where the Hawks would be without Crawford and his 21 wins this season.

Now to the playoffs. With the Hawks current 3 game win streak this win puts the Hawks in a 6 way tie for the 5th seed in the playoffs. They are currently behind the Kings and Wild who have played 1 less then the Hawks for the 5th & 6th seeds. Only thing keeping them behind the Stars for 7th place is that recent shootout loss.

Now back to the game. Besides the great play of Crawford the whole team decided to continue their good play. Besides the goal from Marian Hossa, which you can see below, Tomas Kopecky added his 11th goal of the season and Patrick Sharp added a empty netter for good measure. With that goal, his 32nd of the season, Sharpie is just 4 off of matching his career high of 36. I have a feeling that Sharp will be hitting 40 by the time the season ends on April 10th.

Hawks next play Sunday hosting the Coyotes, who are just 5 points ahead of Chicago. Puck drops at 7 PM.
