After making things difficult on Friday against the Senators the Hawks decided to take the easy way against the Islanders and it might have been just what the doctor ordered. A 5-0 victory on home ice getting Corey Crawford his first shutout of the season and the second of his career but the best part is who scored the goals. I still can't believe the Hawks hadn't beaten this team since 2002.

The stars might finally be ready to shine for the Hawks. Subtract Patrick Sharp, who scored his 25th goal on Sunday, from this since he has been hot all season but just about everyone else has been cold, injured or just plan inconsistent. However things might be about to change as Patrick Kane, Marian Hossa and even Dave Bolland might be warming up. Both Hossa and Kane are averaging a point per game since the New Year while Bolland has 2 points in those 5 games but has been much improved in the faceoff circle.

Like I thought with the addition of Leddy the defense is playing much better and has much more speed with replacing Cullimore and Boyton with Leddy and Hendry who both played over 16 minutes on Sunday.

The Hawks will get a good test Wednesday against the Colorado Avs as they always play the Hawks tough no matter where the game is played. Also don't forget it it Bobbu Hull bobblehead so make sure you get to the game early if you want a chance to add to the collection.
