Poor Corey Crawford, the guy just can't catch a break. Seriously just look at the poor guy. He looks like something from the land of misfit toys dressed like that.

He has this beautiful mask get made special for the Stadium Series game at Soldier field and it never showed up. Reebok and Fedex have no idea what happened to it. So instead he wear his normal white mask with the Hawks new black jersey that goes with his new black pads.

Well I hope he likes those new black pads, because he will be wearing them for a while. The reason for that is because his normal white pads have gone missing. Crawford informed everyone about the missing pads Monday at practice.

No, I didn't find the mask, and you're not going to believe this, but my pads got stolen at Soldier Field -- white pads, gloves. Yeah, I was stunned, too, when I heard it. I don't even know what to think anymore, seriously. I'm stunned by the whole thing.

It has been reported that whoever stole Crawford's equipment may have been caught on video. That has not been confirmed and neither the pads or mask have resurfaced. Crawford is trying to have a good sense of humor about it, jokingly mentioning that he might see someone wearing the gear at Johnny's Ice House one day before practice. He also suggested maybe the NHL needs to look into having goalie equipment security.

This seriously sounds like something you would hear about after some rat hockey games and not coming out of a professional locker room. No word on if he will replace his white pads but I'd imagine if he has another game like he did Tuesday night, he might just do it and say goodbye to those black pads.
