Remember going into game 4 everyone was talking about how the stars for the Hawks hadn't shown up? Well the same can't be said now after the last two games. Missing defenseman Brent Seabrook for a second straight game the Hawks stepped up once again. Anyone else wanna argue about just how important Dave Bolland is to this team?

The first period of game 5 was like more of game 4. The Hawks put up another 3 goals making that 10 goals in the last 4 periods. They scored 5 total in the first 3 games. Marian Hossa finally decided to show up putting Chicago up 1-0 on the power play. Then Duncan Keith scored his third of the series and it looked like he might have gotten his 4th as well but it was later ruled that Patrick Kane tipped it in giving him his first of the series.

In the second it was more of Marian Hossa as he got his second goal of the game and then Vancouver pulled Roberto for the second straight game. He missed the final 16 minutes of game 4 and now missed the final 38 minutes of game 5. Think the Hawks may be in his head? Then enter Scheinder who decided to get Duncan Keith his second goal afterall putting the Hawks up 5-0. The second ended with another dirty hit by the Canucks that started a brawl. Edler elbowed Brouwer which eventually led to all the players on the ice involved in some shoving matches. Sure seems like we were set for a crazy third period like we had in game 4.

Surprisedly the third was fairly quiet but talk about a change in momentum. In the first three games the Hawks were outscored 9-5 including being shut out in game 1 while now in the last two games the Hawks have outscored Vancouver 12-2. Hopefully Brent Seabrook will be healthy enough to return for game 6. With 2 full days off I would think he should be good to go.

So now after two great games for the Hawks do they have enough left to win one more and force another trip to Vancouver for a game 7. Game 6 is Sunday at 6:30 at the UC and you know the madhouse will be rockin the red and as loud as ever.

My pick to light the lamp on Sunday is Capt Toews who has been very quiet now through the first 5 games.
