West of Chicago, the Rockford IceHogs are in a bit of a slump of their own.

After winning six of seven dating back to Jan. 16, the AHL affilliate have now lost four of its last five.

Wednesday night's defeat came to the hands of the rival Peoria Rivermen, to a close 1-0 shutout while key players Ben Smith and Brandon Pirri were unable to find the back of the net.

The IceHogs are now 21-25-1-4, tied for 13th in the Western Conference with the Hamilton Bulldogs (47 points).

Alexander Salak stopped 12 shots.
